Johns Hopkins University Campus Safety and Security offers free home security inspections of non-commercial, off-campus housing to make sure your home meets city ordinances and standards for preventing theft, fire, or other hazards.

During an inspection, they will:

Inspect windows, doors, and locks
Assess exterior lighting
Check smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
Inspect shrubbery to minimize concealment opportunities for criminals
Enhance your security awareness to make living off campus less worrisome
